Are you looking for something that will satiate your sweet cravings in the mornings and also fulfill your need for eating healthy? This delicious glass of apple banana smoothie is what you need!

My mom would often blend apple and milk together to make us what we called at that time a milkshake (it was actually a smoothie). This was at a time when milkshakes were not very common in India so I was pretty impressed with my mom because this drink was so damn delicious. She used to add a bit of sugar but my recipe for apple smoothie does not.
This apple banana smoothie is also inspired by mom’s recipe but with one change – the addition of bananas. Bananas are loaded with potassium and magnesium making it heart-healthy. Not to mention the fact that it also makes the smoothie creamier and even more delicious!

- Add a couple of tablespoons of oats to make this smoothie even more filling.
- For best results, use ripe bananas since they tend to be sweeter than the unripe ones.

Is it healthier to use curd instead of milk though milk smoothies are tastier but curd is more compatible. Please let me know.
Hi! Anu – curd is definitely better for your gut than milk but my kids don’t like the sour taste so I always use milk. If you don’t mind the tartness, go for it.
